AMMAN - HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, founder and chairman of
Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global Digital (TAG.GD), has received in his office the
Cultural Counselor at the Chinese Embassy to Jordan, Mr. Gao Xiao Qiang, to
discuss means of enhancing bilateral cooperation in the fields of higher
education, technology, and innovation.
During the meeting, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh stressed TAG.GD’s ongoing
commitment to strengthening bridges of cooperation between Jordan and China,
pointing out that establishing a Chinese–Jordanian University represents a
strategic step aimed at founding a distinguished academic institution that
brings together Chinese and Jordanian expertise in the fields of technology,
digital transformation, and artificial intelligence.
Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh added that, with its extensive experience and
wide international network, TAG.GD is always keen to support initiatives that
promote knowledge and cultural exchange, referring to the significant role
Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Confucius (TAG-Confucius), a member of TAG.GD, plays in
spreading the Chinese language and culture, as well as enhancing mutual
understanding between the two peoples.
For his part, the Chinese Cultural Counselor, Mr. Qiang, praised
the important role of Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh in consolidating bilateral relations,
noting that the Chinese–Jordanian University will be a leading platform for
academic and research cooperation, and a model of partnership between
educational institutions in both countries.
The meeting was attended by Mr. Ahmad Al-Aqrabawi, assistant
director of the Chinese Cultural Center in Amman, and Mr. Mamoun Abu Al-Seba’,
TAG-Confucius executive director.
At the end of the meeting, the two parties exchanged honorary
shields that symbolize the depth of Jordanian–Chinese relations and the
commitment of both parties to further develop cooperation in various fields.
